Its no more news that the BVN registration deadline is less than 24 hours, CBN has announced that about 26 million account holders will take the risk of closing their bank accounts due to registration failure.
The Central Bank of Nigeria, already warned that there shall be no date extension after the deadline day and customers who still haven’t registered will have no further access to their accounts including the money in it.
According to Central bank of Nigeria, the registration still on till tomorrow, but unregistered customers will lose their accounts.
A CBN staff, who claimed that the figures of registered bank customers would not be ready until the following week after deadline. He was quoted:
Field reports show that there has been increased surge in the number of registrations per day since last week, but it is clear that we may not exceed 50 percent by the deadline.MD, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Jibril Aku said:
“There will be no deadline extension after October 31. CBN, and banks have tried their best to ensure all customers rgister for the BVN.
“People, who fail to meet the deadline date will not be able to have access to their accounts until they comply.”
